CFA exam fees
What it costs to register for each level, and what all three come to.
Exam registration fees
| Level | Early | Standard | Saved by registering early |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level I | USD 1,140 | USD 1,490 | USD 350 |
| Level II | USD 1,140 | USD 1,490 | USD 350 |
| Level III | USD 1,240 | USD 1,590 | USD 350 |
The cost of all three levels
Sitting each level once costs USD 3,520 at the early fee, or USD 4,570 at the standard fee: USD 1,050 more. Fees are charged per registration, so a level sat again is paid for again.
These are exam fees only. They do not include study materials, preparation courses, calculator, or CFA Institute membership dues once you apply for membership.
Questions people ask
What is the difference between the early and the standard fee?
Registering before the early deadline for a window costs less. The deadlines are on the exam dates page.
Are these fees all I will pay?
No. They are the exam registration fees. Study materials, any preparation course, and membership dues after you apply for membership are separate.
