Explain and propose approaches for professionals, corporate executives and similar clients that build their human and financial capital and their economic net worth

The idea

Executives often receive equity compensation, such as options and restricted shares, leaving wealth and job concentrated in one employer and subject to trading windows and insider rules. Approaches include systematic pre-arranged selling plans, careful timing of option exercise, hedging with collars or similar structures where permitted, and diversifying the remaining portfolio away from the employer's sector. Professionals such as doctors and lawyers may start earning late, carry education debt and face liability claims, so disability and liability insurance and asset-protection structures matter. Athletes and entertainers earn heavily over a short, uncertain period and must save a large share. The trap is holding employer shares out of loyalty or overconfidence.
